These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of andrewsofholmfirth.co.uk (the “Site”) and any goods or services you purchase from Andrews of Holmfirth through the Site. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. About us
The Site is operated by Andrews of Holmfirth, a family-run greengrocers based at:

2. Definitions
- “We”, “us”, “our” means Andrews of Holmfirth.
- “You”, “your” means the person using the Site or placing an order.
- “Site” means andrewsofholmfirth.co.uk and any subdomains.
- “Products” means the goods listed for sale on the Site at any given time.
- “Order” means a request placed by you to purchase Products.
3. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the Site in any way that could damage, disable, overburden or impair it.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, its servers, or any related systems.
- Use any automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or copy content from the Site without our written permission.
- Submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive or infringes anyone’s rights.
4. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, images, logos, the “Andrews of Holmfirth” name and brand, and the underlying design — is owned by Andrews of Holmfirth or licensed to us. You may view and download content for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, republish or distribute any of our content without our prior written permission.
5. Orders and purchases
If you place an Order through the Site:
- Order acceptance — placing an Order is an offer to buy. We are not obliged to accept it. We will confirm acceptance by sending you an order confirmation email; the contract is formed at that point.
- Pricing — prices shown on the Site include VAT where applicable. We do our best to ensure prices are accurate, but if we discover a pricing error after you place an order we will contact you to confirm or cancel the order.
- Payment — payment is processed securely by Stripe via WooPayments. We do not see or store your full card details.
- Fulfilment — collection or delivery options and timings are set out at checkout. Fresh produce is selected on the day of fulfilment to the same standard as in store.
- Substitutions — if a specific item is not available, we may substitute it with a similar item of equivalent or greater value, or refund the affected item, at our discretion. We will let you know either way.
6. Your consumer rights
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the goods we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you generally have a 14-day right to cancel an online order. However, this right does not apply to perishable goods (such as fresh fruit, vegetables and dairy products) under regulation 28(1)(d). For non-perishable Products, you may cancel within 14 days of receipt by contacting us; we will refund the price within 14 days of receiving the goods back in their original condition.
If anything you receive from us is faulty, damaged or not as described, please let us know within 7 days of receipt and we will arrange a replacement, refund or other appropriate remedy. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
7. Liability
We will use reasonable care and skill in providing the Site and the Products. However, to the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site.
- Our total liability for any single Order is limited to the amount you paid for that Order.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Site and any personal information you provide are also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Site are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
